Posted on: 27 October 2009 at 12:00amHey guys!
We are very very very sorry for having kept you all waiting
for us! We got extremely busy first with the Heartthrobs tour, then came in
Diwali and obviously DPL followed up! A big thank you to all of you for your
good wishes and blessings on the 'birthday' day
and also for DPL.
How did your Diwali go?? Hope the beginning to the year
started with a blast of crackers.
Anyway... when we looked at all the questions, we were like,
O my god!
So many questions and that too such good ones, it was really getting
difficult to select and answer just few! So we have decided to break the questions
you all have posted into 3 - 4 parts and
try answering maximum of them (once again, it's really not possible to answer
all). So for now we are answering a few of the questions and the rest of the
answers will keep on following in the next few blog entries (and this time, we
promise we will be back soon).
So guys, let's get started with the first round
of answers to all your adorable questions!
_Hira_89
Do you guys both
accommodate for each other's different religious values and rites?
Tina- We celebrate all the festivals...be it Eid, Diwali,
Christmas or Parsi New Year! None of us believe in only our religion. We
believe that God is one. We go to the mosques, temples, churches, Gurudwara,
all of them! Even our families do. My mother in-law also like us does Diwali
Puja with me and I also celebrate Eid with her, along with my own family. So, this
practical and open religious view is shared by all of us in the family.
Hussain- Absolutely! We are glad that we are all so open to any and every religion. It's all in the head, how you look at it. Luckily neither of us are biased. We are grateful to the Almighty, wherever He is and I'm sure He is One. Differences get created only if you create them.
1) Considering you are
both really busy what small things do you do for each other during the day? how often do you get to cook tina?
Tina- We both try to do whatever we
can for each other...not necessarily every single day but definitely try our
best whenever we can. And yes, I used to never cook earlier but suddenly I have found this new fondness
for cooking. I download recipes off the internet and keep experimenting off and
on making new dishes. I don't like the regular cooking! So far everything tried
and tested has turned out good. Hussain loves most of it so I get motivated to
try new things!
Hussain- By the way, Tina makes excellent fish & mutton!
2) How
often do you guys meet with hussain's family.....i know you live very close to
them but still
Tina- You're right, we stay close to
our families. We meet each other's families very often. Hussain goes there for
his daily cup of tea every morning. We meet when time permits but are almost
always in each others' houses!
3) Tina
what kind of relationship do you share with each member of hussain's
family....like with his mom, brother, bhabhi, nephews, sister and all? What
about you hussain?
Tina- I share a great bond with each of them. His sister from the US and I
gel well. Her kids and I are very fond of each other. They call us often and we
have a great chat. Her daughter is just like me. She loves to be girly and
dress up which no one else in the family does because most of them are guys.
When she comes over, she tries on my clothes and will admire herself in the
mirror, ask us how beautiful she's looking! She will pick up my dresses and I
guess she is growing up to be just like me!
Hussain-There's no particular reason for my dislike towards mehndi...I know it
is said to be auspicious and very lucky especially for brides and married
women. But I think it's the smell that gets to me! I don't find it very
pleasant and hence am not fond of it. In fact as a kid, when my mother would
have henna designed on her hands, I would never allow her to feed me. That is
the only time she would get to make me eat myself! I just cannot take the
smell!
1) What is
the colour of your toothbrush?
Hussain: Hey Laraib, I've never even noticed the colour of my
toothbrush!
Tina- My toothbrush is pink and Hussain's is purple
2) What do you like to
watch on tv? your favorite show or serial?
Hussain- 'FREINDS' is my favorite. I also like all the comedy serials
like 'Laughter Challenge' and 'Comedy Circus'. These are some of my favorites
currently!

Tina, can u plz tell me
how the Gaurav Khanna prank incident actually happen?
Tina- I'm a very big prankster! I love playing pranks! But I was not the
only criminal in disguise doing the prank. It was Hussain, Vivaan and myself,
all three of us that had ganged up against poor Gaurav Khanna!
The incident started with the three of us gone for a drive. We thought
we'll drop by and meet him, so I called him up. I spoke with a put-on, husky
voice, asking him what he was up to, etc. He said he was watching a film and I
asked him to come down to meet me. Which he didn't! So we continued the prank
later with Hussain and Vivaan being my assistants. They would give me
information about Gaurav like which school and college he's from, the girls he
knew, his friends, etc to surprise him how a stranger (me!) knew so much about
him! So I would call him and give out these details, saying I'm from Kanpur and
that I used to sit beside him in class. Gaurav was totally taken back,
wondering who this girl is! We continued this prank for a while and asked him
to meet me. But then I realized it will get embarrassing for me, when he sees
and finds out that it's 'me' to his surprise! So I chickened out to Hussain and
Vivaan. But these two boys convinced me and they sent me with flowers to meet
him! I wore a cap just in case he would recognize me from the distance and had
Hussain and Vivaan around with a camera to shoot this prank! But boys that they
are, they did something to the camera and didn't manage filming this incident!
Finally when Gaurav came, I removed my cap and started laughing at him! But I
think he was so nervous that he just did not recognize me! I had to shake him
up and tell him it's me, Tina! When he saw Hussain and Vivaan, is when it
struck him who I was.

What is so so special in
ur journey- the love story, which is missing in other couples and what is that
thing which ul think is there only within u both and not among other couples?
Hussain- We have a 9-year relationship which is going great. But there is
nothing extra ordinary about us specifically; every couple goes through rough
and tough times. How they stand together and come out of the mess is what
matters! We both knew we wanted to be each others' life partners, come what may!
We surpassed all the problems, together, never giving up on either! Life
changed, careers grew, priorities were re-ordered, people came and left, we
went through bad phases where many a times we didn't see each other. Tina would
long for me when I was busy shooting and all I wanted to do, was pack up and
hug her tight! So we had our set of problems, ups and downs...There are bad
days, but happy ones too. So I would just say that one should never de-motivate
themselves ever! Keep going! That is what Life teaches you and is all about.
Hussein were you in
Michigan recently specifically Somerset Mall, Troy MI?
Hussain- Yes it was me that you saw at the Mall. You should have come up to me
and let me also see who you are! So next time dear, you happen to spot me; do
approach me as even I would want to meet you. Take care!
Have you ever proposed tina in a filmy way? If
yes, then how......and did you sing a song for Tina?
Hussain - We were at Lonavla with a couple of friends. Suddenly all of them
disappeared, but only happened to! It was not planned... The weather was
romantic and so was the location. So I got down on my knees and popped the
question, instantly! And I would love
to sing to her everyday but time doesn't permit!
If
hussain is not talking to you (a fight or for some other reason) then how do
you try to make things better?
Tina- It's always generally me not talking to Hussain.
He never says he won't
talk to me. But at times when he isn't, it is a task to get him to even look at
me!
1) Who's more
sentimental -Husein bhaiyya or Tina di?
Tina- Hey Sonali, I'm definitely more sentimental than Hussain!
2) For Tina di- don't you ever get weary to girls lining up every time you guys
go out to enjoy?...Honest answers please!
Tina- I used to get irritated earlier when girls would come up to Hussain.
But he has given me so much security, belief and trust that it just doesn't
bother me anymore.
3) For Tina Di:What mental state were you in when you met Husein bhaiyya's Mom
for the first time as a daughter-in-law?Is she strict?...
Tina- She is very loving and caring unlike my mother who only shouts at me!
The bond I share with my mother in-law is inexplicable and like every
daughter in-law, I too love and think my mother in-law is THE best!
4) For Bhaiyya: Your most memorable moment with your father.
Husaain- I think once a loved and dear one passes away and leaves everyone,
every moment shared becomes a memorable one. It is very sad but everyone has to
leave some day or the other! One particular memory I can recollect is that
every Sunday, my father would take us to Juhu Beach. We would gather with all his
friends and their respective families to have a ball of a time! We would do
that on a frequent basis.

all of you. So please don't stop. It's not possible to reply to each comment
but we will try to do so as much as we can.
And, I do know how to drive and will also definitely put up pictures really soon.
1) Hussain y dont u come
to pakistan??? Here are millions of fans who would lyk to meet u n tina too.
Hussain- Hey Osama, I have been to Pakistan. A lot of people there do
like and appreciate our work. We can't come there very often but one of my visits
there, changed my perception towards Pakistan totally! It made me realize that
there is nothing different between your land and ours. It's very much similar.
The love is mutual and only the border separates us.
2) Tina did u ever thought that things are not working out between u n
hussain???
Tina- We hit it off really well from day one. Touch wood
nothing has gone wrong/amiss/shaky between us ever!
Hussain-I would love to do a comic character. It will be difficult but
when time permits and an opportunity comes up, I will surely take it up!
Tina- Even I love his comic timing!
4) Tina y don't u act in
dramas??
Tina- As far as acting is concerned; I don't think it's for me. It requires inborn talent which I surely don't have!
So guys, we really enjoyed answering the questions and we hope you enjoy reading the answers! We'll be back really soon with the '2nd round of answers'!
Love,
Hussain and Tina
