Day - to - day itinerary of our beautiful trip to Rome - Part I

Hussain: Hey guys, a big big thank you to all of you people for liking my short stint on Boogie Woogie

Tina: And yes, we are finally taking you on our tour to the beautiful city of Rome.

Hussain: A day-to-day itinerary as we promised, here is a brief and some wonderful pictures of our the initial 9 days of our trip.

Tina: And yes, as you all know by now, we called up all the winners of our first contest. (Sorry Lekha, we tried but you weren't answering. Well call you soon again.) Well be coming up with a new contest very soon so that we can keep interacting with all you guys.

Hussain: Yes, for now we will be leaving for yet another adventurous trip to the beautiful Goa.

Tina: That means yet another picture session for you guys. So for now please keep posting in and we will be updating the blog soon.

DAY ONE                  5th June

Hussain: You all know what happened! Phew, don't want to repeat the whole thing again. We learnt a lesson when we didn't reach in time to board our flight to Rome. At a professional level, such mistakes cannot be made. When it comes to work, we really need to keep that adventurous spark in us aside! Having missed it, we realized what a soup we had got ourselves into! From making enquiries to figuring out the right & fastest way to get to Rome, we did everything we could. Eventually we did make it but probably we should have known beforehand that when flying, following a timetable & being organized is a must! Anyway, 50 percent of it was our fault. We are hoping things get better & smoother once we reach & we cant wait to soak in what our business-cum-holiday trip has in store for us!

DAY TWO                  6^th June

Tina: We made it to Rome safe & sound, just in time! Yay! Since we were late on reaching, we were behind schedule & so, rehearsing was a little chaotic. The clock was ticking. We would have practice sessions running through our minds & otherwise too, in the flight when we were airborne & in our hotel room. Having a rehearsal at the venue did not quite work out as we were running out of time!
Hussain: Before we even knew it, it was show time! We gave the performance our all & tried our best to set the stage on fire, & audience aching for more. It went absolutely great!
Tina suddenly had a bad stomach pain, which was because of all the tension that had built up & followed us since the airport! But she handled it well & did not bring it up until our first show was done.

Soon after, we were tired & tucked ourselves into bed to crash. Yawn...

DAY THREE             7^th June

Hussain: We could still feel the previous days intensity in our every muscle & just could not get ourselves out of bed! We slept till late & our day started post noon. Tina was still snuggled in bed, fast asleep because of the tiredness & her stomachache. Restless as I am, I just had to get out of bed, freshen up & explore Rome! Tina likes to take thing easy but if I am in a new city, my enthusiasm is on a high & I feel a strange need to travel around its streets & get myself familiarized with it.

We grabbed a quick bite & while Tina took rest, I was out & about to follow up with "When in Rome, do as the Romans do!"

Later in the evening, the shuttle escorted us to the City Centre. We hung around there & enjoyed the weather. It was very pleasant & beautiful. One could feel the romance in the air. After India, Italy is probably the second richest in its heritage & culture. Its past is vast & deep. Rome is a very historic city & its way of life is calm.

DAY FOUR                8^th June

Tina: We were waiting for our dancers to come back who helped us put up a successful show. During the show, we all work but once done, we spend time together & go visit places. They are all lovely & friendly people. Together we all went to the Wish Fountain & had a ball of a time!

DAY FIVE                  9^th June

Hussain: Today we did not do much. It was a regular day with no work. We spent all day long together in each other's company. We visited Vatican City & Venice Square, followed by a nice romantic dinner at night.

 

 

    

DAY SIX                    10^th June

Tina: The adventurous couple that we are, we booked a car & drove to Naples. It is a small, homely town, very young-spirited. Its landscapes were the ones you would see in postcards with mountains, valleys, foliage, nature... serenity at its best! I bought myself a girly pink bag from here as a souvenir. I am sure all the girls will love it. (Girls, just see the pink bag in the Day Eight pictures)

 

 

 

DAY SEVEN              11^th June

Hussain: This was our second day for 'show time'! As usual it was hectic & kept us going. We were too occupied with rehearsals & preparing for the show to take some time out & enjoy the city. After another days hard work with no enjoyment, we are now looking forward to having a good time at Venice & Florence. We are excited to travel via the Euro Rail once again!

 

DAY EIGHT              12^th June

Tina: We went to Venice & looked around its tourist spots & totally fell for this water city! The most common & widely used mode of transport is its water boats, floating around all through the city called 'gondolas'! The city reminded us of Mumbai during the July 25^th floods!

Hussain: This city is where Amitabh Bachhan's song 'Do Labzon Ki Hai Dil Ki Kahani'was shot & a few scenes of the all-time favorite 'Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge' too. Venice is a unique place totally filled with water everywhere! But the climate was not in our favor! It was hot & the heat was getting to us! We even tried to do the DDLJ act of Shahrukh pulling Kajol. Tina was clicking the picture so she couldnt be in the same frame.(Check the 2nd picture)

Tina: We ended our relaxed day with a candle light dinner at Rialto Square & looking back at these beautiful places, realized, that our country is as beautiful & enthralling as well! The only difference is its well or rather better maintained & looked after there than here in India!

 

 

      

   

DAY NINE                 13^th June

Hussain: We were chilling at Venice Islands & were soon joined by our dance crew & the rest. We had a blast as we toured around. We saw a lot of pigeons there & when playing with them were joined by the foreigners there!

Our guide toured us around & we saw amazing churches & paintings. The art here was simply exquisite. We cant praise it enough! The entire experience was very nice.

Back to India ... back to television!

Hey Guys,

 

We're finally back!   Did you miss us?  We sure did miss you guys as there is sooooo much to share!  What a trip!  Beautiful sights, amazing weather, and memorable memories ! Yes we'll unveil them all to you guys sooon!  How does a detailed day to day itinerary sound? Well, it will be coming soon with all the beautiful pictures clicked by us!

 

But now that we are back to Mumbai, it also means back to work! Yes guys, for all those who were waiting for me to come back on television, there is some good news for you'll. I will be featuring as a judge on a very popular dance reality show. Aaah you are wondering what show, eh? Well, it is the longest running dance reality show - Boogie Woogie! I am very excited cause I have been a reality show contestant, I have also danced on stage but this time I get to judge .  How cool is that?  But you guys have to give me lots of feedback and tell me how I was as a judge. I know it is a short appearance but really looking forward to it!

 

So guys we'll be back soon to share more about our trip .. and this time we'll be back soon ! Promise! But till then gotta rush, ciao!
